Look what the Bunny brought!

It’s officially springtime! Runny noses, itchy eyes, daylights savings, higher gas prices…spring is starting to sound a little unpleasant, don’t you think? But then again, April showers bring May flowers and, for NelleBelle’s Confections, winter cake pops bring spring egg pops! Oh joy!


Easter egg pops, of course 🙂 (ah, that’s better).

Cake pops in the shape of an egg and adorned with pastel colors are just what we need to survive these rainy days. Hand decorated with various sprinkles and whimsical designs, these darlings are sure to add a little extra cuteness to any traditional holiday festivities. Can’t wait for Easter? Me either; I want these now! Well, why not? Chicken eggs are available year-round, why can’t their much more adorable and delicious (in my opinion) counterparts do the same? It’s truly a shame everything can’t have a cake-counterpart…

A girl can dream, can’t she?

No need in dreaming when you can have these delivered to your door! NelleBelle’s Confections would love to send these to you in a jiffy! Just look at them, all dressed up with nowhere to go…

It’s okay, it takes a strong soul to resist such a thing: cake meshed with frosting dipped in chocolate and jazzed up with sprinkles. Sweet sweet sweet!

I can certainly deliver them to your door; the delivery to your stomach is all on you , though 🙂 but don’t forget to share with the family!

A new spin!

Classic (noun): a thing of simple, elegant, and long-lasting style

‘Classic’ is a word used very frequently around NelleBelle’s Confections. It’s used to described the standards set before and the standards that currently are (and always will be) upheld. Many cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc. keep in line with these standards laid out before us by the cake gods (yes, they exist) as far as appearance and taste. But how bad could a spin on a classic really be?

Pineapple upside-down cake: a classic dessert (There goes that word of the moment, again). Usually done in a bundt pan and flipped over upon presentation, pineapple upside down cake is long-lived and loved by many. It’s drenched in a wonderous sticky glaze that not only enhances the flavor of each slice but adds to its delicious appearance…but appearances can be deceiving.

What if pineapple upside-down cake wasn’t upside down?

What is the pineapple never came right-side up?

What if had fluffy frosting instead of a thick coat of glaze?

What if the bundt pan got tossed out a window and replaced with a cupcake pan?

NelleBelle’s been thinking (and thereby creating 🙂 ). I do believe a spin on this classic is in order.

Isn’t she lovely? A sweet, moist, pineapple-adorned cake topped with whipped pineapple frosting served conveniently in a  danty cupcake liner. Oh wait, how is that pineapple upside down cake? This doesn’t seem to be enough. Why, whatever shall I do? *swoons*

Yay! You saw that one coming, didn’t you? A brown sugar and sweet cream glazed pineapple slice lays the foundation for this heavenly delight. Couldn’t put a spin on such a marvelous creation that it loses the essence of itself. That’s just confectionary treason and unacceptable behavior here at NelleBelle’s Confections. This bakery has got standards, you know 🙂 .

Cake…to go!

Cupcakes usually (NelleBelle’s, always) come conveniently wrapped in a liner of some sort, adding to the appeal and making them truly a piece of cake meant just for you. Even better if they come packaged for delivery (again, NelleBelle’s, always).  Just peel back the paper and sink your teeth into a bite of lovin’ from the oven. Gonna be hard to top that performance….or is it?

What if it came individually packaged on a stick? That same delicious treat, in a wide variety of available flavors, can be made even easier to hold and take with (and show off)! It’s portable, resealable, and (as usual with NelleBelle) completely delicious!

Cake balls have taken a turn for the fashionable life and become super accessorized. What a joy! A joy on a stick :). They each come protected in a clear, colorless treat bag and sealed with a kiss… well, actually its sealed with a ribbon but thats placed on with just as much love :).

With decorative choices from solid colors, two- toned, marbled and stripes, to swirls, dots and smiley faces, what could possibly make these rays of sunshine on a stick glow any brighter?

NelleBelle’s got it.

Now there is the choice between cake and brownies! Phew, even I have a hard time choosing between those two. Tough call! But I’m sure whatever decision you choose will be the right one. If not, just order more and try again! ( My apologies, tend to get a little excited over these cutie-patuties lol).

All in all, pops, be they of the cake or brownie variety, are a scrumptious and adventurous alternative to the classic beauty that is the cupcake. Though my heart will always be with that standard-sized cake in a cup, absence makes the heart grow fonder, correct?

Now if you’ll excuse me, NelleBelle feels the urge to “step out” with one of the adorable pops now actually… :). No worries, I’ll never forget my first love.
